It all began with a trip to Morocco. Actually, it began years and years earlier, with jaunts back home for the holidays and weekends away with girlfriends and road trips with old lovers. But it was in Morocco that Nancy noticed that Hannah traveled with every chic little thing she needed — for the plane, for long dinners, for hiking sand dunes — in one small backpack. A backpack! Isn’t that the dream? A wardrobe so well-edited and versatile that it fits into a backpack?

A glass of rosé (okay, two) and a couple of scribbled-on napkins later, époque évolution was born.
