The Five Foundation works at the systemic level to advocate for better funding streams to women on the African continent and beyond. We regularly convene donors, including foundations and high net worth individuals, senior government decision-makers, research organisations and the corporate sector, to change the way they fund evidence-based grassroots activism and – in the case of the financial sector – how it finances and fuels women’s economic empowerment on the continent. In this sense, The Five Foundation uniquely operates as a hub of systemic change for African women and girls to achieve Global Goal 5.
