Georgina von Etzdorf and Liberty & Co

Meet Georgina von Etzdorf and explore the evolution of her textile business from hand screen printing on silks at home to 21st century techniques with international collaborators. Hear about the role Liberty played in commissioning von Etzdorf, while she was still a student, the innovative techniques she pioneered and her work on a major retrospective exhibition of the company at Manchester City Art Gallery in 2006.

The event starts at 6pm with a glass of wine in the Museum foyer and opportunity to view the exhibition Liberty in Fashion; the ‘in-conversation’ event follows at 6.15pm for 6.20pm in the Fashion Studio and lasts for approximately one hour including the chance to ask questions at the end.

Price £15 / £12 students includes a complimentary drink and exhibition entry.
