Emma McClendon is the assistant curator of costume at The Museum at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology, New York). The Society of Antiquaries of London awarded Ms McClendon a grant that allowed her to conduct a research trip to the Levi Strauss & Co archives in San Franscisco, studying historic garments and primary source matering in support of the museum's exhibition, Denim: Fashion's Frontier (1 December 2015 to 7 May 2015).
