Fashion Against Funding Cuts

Join Birdsong at their Fashion Week party, for a celebration of fashion and feminism - and all for a great cause! They say:

"With a host of fashion industry speakers, clothing for sale and music, we'll be challenging the fashion world to come together for Heba Women's Project. Heba are one of our suppliers, and a huge reason Birdsong was set up. The seamstresses there have been making and selling clothes on Brick Lane for 25 years. They also offered a creche, IT & English classes, and a welcoming and safe environment for migrant women to make friends. However, with their rent tripled and funding slashed, they're struggling to make ends meet. All ticket money will go to supporting them, as well as 70% of sales made from their products on the night. We'll also be showcasing images from our successful #AsWeAre campaign, challenging the lack of diversity in bodies and faces that are typically represented at LFW."
