A native New Yorker with a passion for travel, Claire Distenfeld began collecting remarkable objects and experiences at a young age.

With the help of interior designer Ryan Korban, Claire and her father, Fred transformed the space into a treasure trove of the world’s finest items and named it Fivestory. A nod to not only the building but also the distinct stories and histories behind each product placed within its walls.

Today, these stories are reflected in renowned international ready-to-wear designers, alongside cutting-edge creatives; in exclusive Fivestory collaborations, in impeccably created accessories, fine and fashion jewelry, and home décor that span the globe.

Collectively these items create a new, dynamic story: the story of Fivestory New York and its customers, who come to enrich their own tales with the boutique’s rare offerings.
